Malfunctions and inability to access the vouchers.gov.gr platform for the Fuel Pass subsidy were reported. Details on amounts and application process follow.

The launch of the Fuel Pass platform for fuel subsidies at noon on Holy Monday (April 6) was accompanied by technical issues.

Just a few hours after going live, the vouchers.gov.gr website crashed, preventing most users from accessing it.

The disruptions are apparently due to system overload caused by hundreds of thousands of users trying to log in simultaneously.

Amounts and beneficiaries of the Fuel Pass

Beneficiaries can submit their applications starting today, April 6, through vouchers.gov.gr.

The initiative is part of government measures aimed at supporting citizens facing rising energy costs due to the war in the Middle East. It is implemented in cooperation between the Ministers of National Economy and Finance, Development, Digital Governance and AI, along with their deputy ministers.

Citizens log into the platform using their TaxisNet credentials and enter a verification code sent to their mobile phone via the National Communication Registry (EMEp). They then confirm their contact details, enter the vehicle registration number, and select the payment method.

Those applying on Holy Monday will receive the subsidy within 48 hours (by Holy Wednesday). Applications submitted from Holy Wednesday onwards will be paid after Easter due to banking holidays.
