Athens Polytechnic uprising: How public transport will operate on Monday (17/11)

Changes to the operation of public transport due to the celebrations for the 52nd anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising. How buses, trolleybuses, and the metro will run on Monday, November 17.

Service adjustments have been in effect since Saturday (15/11) regarding the operation of public transportation due to the events commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising.
The changes will remain in place until Tuesday, 18/11/2025 at 06:00.
Specifically, to ensure the safe circulation of public transport and passengers, OASA will implement temporary route modifications and/or relocation of starting points for bus and trolleybus lines on streets surrounding the Polytechnic and across the city center. These adjustments will occur gradually, depending on prevailing traffic conditions and the instructions and measures issued by the Hellenic Police, until Tuesday, 18/11/2025 at 06:00.
Additionally, tomorrow, Monday 17/11/2025, by order of the Hellenic Police, the following Metro stations will close at 14:00: Syntagma, Evangelismos, Megaro Mousikis, Panepistimio, and Omonoia (Lines 1 & 2).
Trains will pass through these stations without stopping. Stations will reopen according to new instructions from the Police. Any additional changes will be implemented according to police directions.

It is noted that tomorrow, Monday 17/11/2025, the routes of bus line Χ95 SYNTAGMA – ATHENS AIRPORT (EXPRESS) will operate only up to KATEHAKI Metro Station.
