Beos: Homophobic attack against Sotiris Polizos in front of thousands of people

The mayor of Volos, Achilleas Beos, once again showed his true character—this time during the lighting ceremony of the city and its Christmas tree.

The mayor, known for his long record of threats, profanity, physical altercations, bullying, and homophobic and racist remarks, made sure to behave in the worst possible way toward the event’s host, journalist Sotiris Polyzos, before sharing his wishes for… love and peace to the world.

He appeared visibly irritated as he stepped onto the stage, saying that the host is the only person capable of annoying him.

“Could the rare person you’re looking for be Achilleas Beos?” Sotiris Polyzos joked to Andromachi before inviting Beos to the stage with the phrase: “Mayor of Volos, creator of this show, Achilleas Beos, come to the stage because it’s been a while and your city hasn’t seen you. Here he is.”

“He is the only person who always finds a way to annoy me because he always does some bullsh@@@, but it’s okay, we get over it. Today’s incident was something else,” Achilleas Beos said in front of thousands of people, attacking the journalist.

But he didn’t stop there…

Commenting on the jacket Mr. Polyzos chose to wear, the mayor of Volos shared his… stylistic opinions and then proceeded to make a homophobic remark.
“The only thing no one has ever seen is that jacket. What an incredible jacket—my grandmother had it as a tablecloth, and the f****t took it and turned it into a jacket.”
