Concern over the missing diver at Limanakia Vouliagmenis

Rescue teams’ efforts are in full progress to locate and recover the 34-year-old diver who has been missing since Sunday afternoon (22/3) during a dive at the so-called “Devil’s Pit” at Limanakia Vouliagmenis.

Specially trained cave divers are conducting searches at the site, which reaches a depth of approximately 30 meters.

The 34-year-old pilot — who is an experienced diver — had gone diving at the spot with a friend. It was his friend who lost track of him and alerted the authorities.

Yesterday, Sunday, divers from the Underwater Missions Unit, along with specialized cavers, carried out searches, but were unable to locate the missing man.
