Double murder in Finikounta: 30 year old surrenders in Kalamata
EUROKINISSI

A 30-year-old man has surrendered in Kalamata in connection with the double murder in Finikounta. He had been wanted by the authorities.

The 30-year-old voluntarily surrendered to the Kalamata Police Security Office half an hour after 3:00 AM, after being sought by the authorities for the double murder in Finikounta in early October.

He had been in Germany when the last three warrants were issued. Upon returning in the early hours, he presented himself to the Kalamata Police and was arrested, as there was an arrest warrant for complicity issued by the investigating judge against him.

He was a friend and associate of a business executive from Athens who had been arrested for incitement to murder.

The investigation, including the lifting of phone privacy, appears to have revealed his role in the case. He is now expected to be brought before the investigating judge handling the case for further proceedings.

It is worth noting that a few days ago, the nephew of the 68-year-old owner of the camping site in Finikounta and a business executive friend from Athens were arrested following warrants from the investigating judge, as part of the investigation into the double murder. Both are accused of incitement to the crime.

This is the fifth arrest in the case, as a few weeks ago, authorities arrested two 22-year-olds as the direct perpetrators of the double murder. They are accusing each other of who fired the shots at the owner and the caretaker.
