Dozens of ferry routes are suspended due to strong winds affecting sea areas across the country. Where sailings are currently banned.

Strong southerly winds, blowing across many maritime regions and reaching 8 to 9 Beaufort according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service, are causing major disruptions to ferry services.
According to the Hellenic Coast Guard, only ferries bound for the Dodecanese are operating from the port of Piraeus. All other routes to island destinations have been temporarily suspended.
In the Saronic Gulf, ferry services have been halted until further notice.
A similar situation applies at the port of Rafina, where routes to the Cyclades will not be operated, while a sailing ban remains in force at the port of Lavrio.
In addition, the following ferry lines remain closed:
- Faneromeni (Salamina) – Megara
- Nea Styra – Agia Marina
- Keramoti – Thassos
- Corfu – Igoumenitsa
- Rio – Antirrio
- Kyllini – Zakynthos
Passengers planning to travel today are advised, before heading to the port, to contact local port authorities and travel agencies for updates on possible changes or modifications to scheduled services.
