Tension broke out outside the Ministry of Transport when taxi drivers attempted to enter the building, demanding to speak with the competent officials.

Tension between taxi drivers and riot police (MAT) broke out at the gate of the Ministry of Transport shortly before 14:00 on Wednesday (03/12).
The incident occurred when protesters attempted to enter the Ministry, demanding to speak with the responsible officials.
Riot police used a limited amount of tear gas.
Taxi owners are staying off duty for a second day as part of their nationwide strike, demanding a review of the regulation that mandates a transition to electric vehicles from the beginning of the year for every vehicle transfer and every newly registered vehicle.
Amid the strike, taxi owners and drivers set up camp outside the Ministry of Transport.
Some of those gathered pitched tents outside the building, declaring that they are determined to stay. The president of SATA, Thymios Lymberopoulos, spoke of a possible indefinite strike if no meeting is arranged with the Deputy Minister of Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis.
Taxi strike – Their demands
It is recalled that the strike actions in the taxi sector continue today, Wednesday (03/12), as part of the 48-hour strike declared by the Panhellenic Federation of Taxi Drivers (POEIATA).
