Ioanna Touni: Prosecutor urges guilty verdict in revenge porn case

The prosecutor of the court bench has just recommended the guilt of the defendants who recorded and circulated the controversial video of intimate moments in the revenge porn case involving Ioanna Touni.

According to the prosecution’s proposal, the two defendants are guilty of violating sensitive personal data with the intent to harm the victim.

As reported by voria.gr, the prosecutor reportedly stated in her address that the aim of the two defendants “was to brutally offend her personality,” adding that “the victim was subjected to numerous degrading characterizations, rather than the defendants, whose actions were even considered by some as an act of bravery.” The prosecutor also emphasized that “they wanted to boast that they had done something with Ioanna Touni because she was well-known.”

The trial, which is continuing behind closed doors at the Thessaloniki Three-Member Court of Appeal for Felonies, is being attended by Ioanna Touni, who broke down in tears upon hearing the proposal.

“I am happy because I have come here with the truth. It is somewhat ironic that today is April Fool’s Day, but I hope and wish that there will be no lies and that the truth will prevail,” she said upon her arrival at the Thessaloniki Courthouse.

It is recalled that two individuals are in the dock, one of whom is a former partner of the businesswoman appearing in the video, while the other, according to the indictment, is alleged to be the person who filmed the video.
