The opening hours for the stores during Easter

The countdown has begun for the Easter holiday shopping hours, allowing citizens to complete their purchases ahead of the holiday.

Easter hours will begin on Thursday, April 2nd, and will continue throughout Holy Week, according to announcements from the commercial associations.
On Easter Sunday, April 12th, and Easter Monday, April 13th, retail stores will remain closed.
As stated in the announcement from the Athens Chamber of Commerce, stores will operate with extended hours to better serve consumers during the Easter period. Additionally, voluntary store openings are expected on Palm Sunday, April 5th.

Easter 2026: Store Operating Hours in Thessaloniki
In Thessaloniki, the Chamber of Commerce has announced:
On Thursday and Friday, April 2nd and 3rd, retail stores will be open from 10:00 to 21:00. On Saturday, April 4th, stores will operate from 10:00 to 18:00, as stated in the announcement by the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce (E.S.T.).
On Palm Sunday, April 5th, stores will be open from 11:00 to 18:00.
From Holy Monday, April 6th, to Holy Thursday, April 9th, the operating hours of retail stores will be continuous, from 10:00 to 21:00.
On Holy Friday, April 10th, stores will be open from 13:00 to 19:00, and on Holy Saturday, April 11th, from 10:00 to 16:00.
On Easter Sunday, April 12th, and Easter Monday, April 13th, retail stores will remain closed.
