The mother of a 3-year-old girl, who is being treated in the Pediatric ICU at PAGNI with serious injuries, has been arrested.

The mother of the 3-year-old girl, hospitalized in serious condition at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of PAGNI with severe injuries and a head hematoma, was arrested by the authorities on charges of endangering a minor.
It is recalled that the child was brought in injured on Thursday evening (21/5) by her mother to the Chania Hospital.
Doctors found that she had a subdural hematoma and bruises on parts of her body, and the appropriate medical interventions were immediately performed by a pediatric surgeon, stabilizing her condition.
However, it was deemed necessary to transfer her to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of PAGNI.
The police are investigating the circumstances under which the 3-year-old girl was so severely injured.
