Sailings suspended from Rafina and Lavrio – Ferry cancellations also announced from Piraeus
EUROKINISSI

Ferries will remain docked at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio, while disruptions are also affecting sailings from the Port of Piraeus.

A sailing ban remains in effect at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio due to gale-force winds sweeping across the Aegean Sea, causing major disruptions to ferry services.

No scheduled sailings are operating from either port, as adverse weather conditions have made departures unsafe.

At the Port of Piraeus, most ferry services are operating as scheduled. However, the Blue Star Paros ferry to Syros, Tinos and Mykonos has been cancelled. Ferry routes to the Saronic Gulf islands are, for the time being, running normally.

According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS), winds are blowing from the north and northeast at 4 to 6 Beaufort, reaching 6 to 8 Beaufort in eastern areas and locally up to 9 Beaufort across parts of the Aegean.

Passengers planning to travel are advised to contact their local port authorities or ferry operators before departure to receive the latest information on possible cancellations, delays, or changes to scheduled services.
