Strong winds are causing disruptions to ferry services, with morning departures from Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio cancelled. A further update is expected around midday, following the release of the latest weather bulletin.

A sailing ban is in effect at the ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio, as strong winds are causing disruptions to ferry services.

From the port of Piraeus, morning sailings to the Cyclades will not operate, while the sailing ban will remain in force until further notice. A clearer picture is expected around midday, following the release of the updated weather bulletin.

The situation is different on the Saronic Gulf routes, where conventional ferries are operating as normal.

For hydrofoils, however, the situation varies depending on the ferry company. Some are operating their services as scheduled, while others have suspended them.

Passengers planning to travel by hydrofoil are therefore advised to contact their ferry company in advance.

Cancellations are also in effect at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio, where morning sailings are also not operating due to the adverse weather conditions.

As for routes to Crete and the Dodecanese, there are currently no scheduled departures before midday.

Travellers are advised to contact ferry companies or the local port authorities before heading to the ports, as conditions may change depending on how the winds develop.
