Fire at auto parts store in Menidi – Traffic restrictions in place

A major fire is currently burning at an auto parts business in Menidi. The atmosphere in the area is suffocating, and firefighters are battling to prevent the blaze from spreading.

A large fire is underway at an auto parts store located at 55 Ionias Avenue in Menidi.
The business contains a significant amount of flammable materials, and the fire has developed a high thermal load, spreading to both the ground floor and the first floor of the building.
At the scene, 18 firefighters with six fire engines are operating, assisted by municipal water tankers. Additional resources have also been requested, as efforts are focused on preventing the fire from spreading to nearby properties and homes.
So far, there have been no reports of any trapped individuals.
The Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) have implemented traffic regulations in the Menidi area due to the ongoing fire at the auto parts store on Ionias Street.
Specifically, traffic has been suspended at the following locations:
- Ionias Avenue and the Attiki Odos bridge
- Orfeos Street and Ionias Avenue
- Kyprou Street and Athanasiou Bosda Street
Firefighting operations remain ongoing.
