How the holiday opening hours for shops and supermarkets are shaped for Holy Saturday. When consumers will be able to do their shopping.

Shopping activity is peaking in stores as consumers make their last Easter purchases.
Today, Holy Saturday (11/04), holiday hours for shops will be from 09:00 to 15:00.
As for supermarkets, they will open one hour earlier, at 08:00, remaining open until 18:00 or in some cases until 20:00, depending on the chain.
According to an announcement by the Athens Commercial Association, the holiday schedule is as follows:
Holy Saturday 11/4/2026 from 09:00 to 15:00.
Easter Sunday 12/4/2026 and Easter Monday 13/04/2026 are public holidays.
Respectively, the Thessaloniki Commercial Association announced:
On Holy Saturday 11/4 from 10:00 to 16:00.
On Easter Sunday, April 12, as well as Monday 13/4, retail shops will remain closed.
Closed on both Easter Sunday and Monday.
Holy Saturday essentially constitutes the last “window” for shopping before the Easter holiday, as the market will remain closed on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
Normal operations resume from Easter Tuesday, April 14, when shops return to their regular opening hours.
