A shocking tragedy unfolded at the Kalavryta Hospital when a 55-year-old British tourist collapsed and died from cardiac arrest beside his wife’s hospital bed, whom he had brought due to a sudden illness.

The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon (03/06) at Kalavryta Hospital, claiming the life of a 55-year-old British tourist.
According to a report by KalavrytaNews, the couple was visiting the area for vacation when the man’s wife suddenly felt unwell. The 55-year-old personally took her to Kalavryta Hospital, where doctors and nurses provided first aid.
While the woman was recovering in her hospital bed, her husband, who was beside her, suddenly collapsed in front of her eyes.
Medical and nursing staff responded immediately and made extensive efforts to resuscitate him, but without success. The 55-year-old passed away despite the doctors’ efforts.
The exact cause of death is expected to be determined through an autopsy, while police officers from the Kalavryta Police Department are conducting a preliminary investigation.
