Kefalonia: Details released of coach prosecuted for sexual assault of minors

A coach in Kefalonia is being prosecuted for the sexual assault of minors. The Hellenic Police (EL.AS) have released his personal details.

The identity of the coach in Kefalonia, who faces multiple counts of sexually assaulting underage female athletes, has been made public.

He is identified as KOULOUMPIS Parisis, son of Dimitrios and Evangelia, born on February 13, 1976, in Argostoli, Kefalonia.

Specifically, criminal charges have been filed against him for completed and attempted repeated sexual assault of a minor, as well as completed and attempted repeated abuse of minors.

Following an order by the Kefallinia First Instance Prosecutor’s Office—which was ratified by the Patras Appeals Prosecutor’s Office—the personal details and photos of a domestic male, arrested on July 3, 2026, by officers of the Argostoli Crime Prosecution and Investigation Department, alongside the criminal charges filed against him, are being made public.

He is KOULOUMPIS Parisis, son of Dimitrios and Evangelia, born on February 13, 1976, in Argostoli, Kefalonia.

Criminal charges have been brought against the individual for:

Completed and attempted repeated sexual assault involving multiple minor victims.

Completed and attempted repeated abuse of minors who have reached 14 years of age, involving multiple victims, under the aggravating circumstance of the acts being committed by a sports instructor/person providing lessons to a minor (violation of Article 342 par. 2 of the Penal Code, repeated and multiple counts).

Completed and attempted repeated child pornography (in the form of acquiring and possessing child pornography material via information systems), where the producer of the child pornography is a person entrusted with the supervision or custody of a minor, even temporarily.

According to the Prosecutorial Order, this publication aims to facilitate the investigation, detection, and prosecution of felonies and misdemeanors under Chapter 19 of the Penal Code concerning offenses against sexual freedom. This disclosure is deemed appropriate for the aforementioned purpose and for preventing threats to public safety regarding the crimes under investigation, as less restrictive measures for fundamental rights are not possible in this case.
