Changes to public transport services are expected due to the school parades marking the anniversary of October 28.

Changes to public transport services will be in effect on Wednesday, October 28, due to the school parades held to commemorate the national anniversary.

The measures are expected to affect buses, trolleybuses, the metro and the tram, with the relevant arrangements implemented in accordance with traffic police instructions and decisions by the Hellenic Police.

Similar measures were introduced last year to facilitate the smooth running of the commemorative events.

More specifically, OASA is expected to temporarily adjust the routes of bus and trolleybus services in parts of the Athens metropolitan area for the duration of the school parades. The changes will depend on traffic conditions and instructions issued by the traffic police.

Changes are also expected to affect metro services. According to the current plan, Syntagma station is expected to close at 08:00 following an order by the Hellenic Police, with trains passing through the station without stopping.

Changes may also be introduced to tram services, both on Line 6, which connects Pikrodafni with Syntagma, and Line 7, which runs between Asklipieio Voulas and Agia Triada Piraeus.

Services are expected to return to normal after the parades and commemorative events have concluded.

Passengers are advised to check the final traffic and transport arrangements in advance, as the exact operating times and route changes will be specified in official announcements by OASA and the Hellenic Police.
