A 19-year-old is fighting for his life after being seriously injured during an attempted robbery in the Patissia district of Athens. The young man was stabbed in the chest by an unidentified assailant and is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

A 19-year-old man is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being seriously injured during an attempted robbery in the Patissia district of Athens on the night of Tuesday, June 9.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m., when an unidentified individual approached the young man with the intention of robbing him. During the attack, the assailant allegedly stabbed him in the chest, causing severe injuries.
The 19-year-old collapsed at the scene, bleeding heavily, and was rushed to hospital by a friend. Doctors deemed it necessary to admit him to the ICU at Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital, where he remains under close medical supervision.
At the same time, authorities are considering transferring him by EKAB ambulance to another medical facility to continue his treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack and are searching for the perpetrator as well as any possible accomplices.
