A family tragedy occurred in Elefsina, where a 44-year-old woman fatally injured her 71-year-old mother while attempting to park her car.

A shocking family tragedy unfolded in Elefsina, when a 44-year-old woman caused the fatal injury of her 71-year-old mother during the handling of her vehicle. According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the accident happened at around 1:30 p.m. on Alkiviadou Street. The 44-year-old was trying to park, while her mother had exited the car and was giving her directions. During the maneuver, the front passenger door remained open and, as the driver reversed, the woman trapped her mother between the car door and a tree, resulting in her fatal injury.
The 71-year-old was transported by an EKAB ambulance to Thriasio Hospital, where her death was confirmed. The 44-year-old daughter was arrested on charges of involuntary manslaughter due to negligence.
