Vrilissia: Dog viciously attacks 66-year-old man, kills his pet

A 66-year-old man suffered injuries to his limbs and back, while his dog was killed after another dog broke loose and attacked him outside a bakery.

The improper supervision of another dog by its owner resulted in the injury of a 66-year-old man and the death of his pet dog.
The incident occurred at 7 a.m. on Cyprus Street in Vrilissia. A 48-year-old woman had tied her dog outside a bakery while she entered the shop.
Suddenly, the dog broke free and attacked the 66-year-old passerby, who was walking his own dog. The attack knocked him to the ground and caused injuries to his hand, thigh, knee, and back, while his dog was killed.
Police and an EKAB ambulance were called to the scene. The injured man was transported to “Gennimatas” Hospital, while the 48-year-old woman was arrested on charges of causing dangerous bodily harm and killing an animal. She was taken to the local Security Department, where a case file was being prepared against her.
