Traffic on Athens roads is heavy due to the mass departure of holidaymakers for the Clean Monday long weekend.
As early as Friday morning (20/02), the first travelers began leaving for their chosen destinations ahead of the three-day break.
At this time, there is heavy congestion on the northbound side of Kifisos from Poseidonos Avenue up to Ano Patissia, while significant delays are also being recorded on Attiki Odos. Specifically, according to a post on the Attiki Odos X account, there are delays of 5–10 minutes at the exit to Lamia on the carriageway toward the Airport.
Delays on the carriageway toward Elefsina
Over 30 minutes from Kantza to Metamorfosi (exit to Lamia),
25–30 minutes from Agia Paraskevi to Metamorfosi on the Hymettus Ring Road.
