Refunds and free tickets for the 317 passengers of the “Super Star”

The vessel was unable to dock at Tinos and Andros and is returning to Lavrio. The shipping company has arranged for passengers to receive a refund for their tickets and a free return ferry ticket.

The shipping company has secured a full refund of ticket costs, a complimentary return ferry ticket, as well as bus transportation to Rafina and central Athens for the 317 passengers of the passenger and vehicle ferry “Super Star”.
As a representative of Seajets told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the initiative is part of the company’s policy of maintaining good relations with the travelling public, following the vessel’s inability to approach the ports of Andros and Tinos due to adverse weather conditions.
The “Super Star” is expected to arrive shortly at the port of Lavrio, where passengers will disembark before being transported by organised bus services.
The vessel was operating its scheduled route from Rafina to Andros, Tinos and Mykonos, with a return journey. It was initially unable to enter the port of Andros because of strong northerly winds reaching force 8 to 9 on the Beaufort scale.
It then headed towards Tinos but was also unable to approach that port. As a result, it changed course once again and proceeded towards Lavrio.
A total of 317 passengers and 59 crew members are on board, along with 56 private vehicles, 11 motorcycles and two trucks.
