Heatwave conditions continued across many regions of the country on Wednesday (26/08), with maximum temperatures exceeding 41°C, while 10 weather stations recorded temperatures greater than or equal to 40°C.
The highest maximum temperature was recorded in the city of Karditsa and in Aigies, Gythio at 41.3°C.
According to the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr, 129 weather stations recorded maximum temperatures above 37°C, while the eight highest maximums during the afternoon hours of Wednesday 26/08 are presented in the Table below.
