Kavala: Double tragedy in Nea Peramos – 36-year-old e-scooter rider also dies

The 36-year-old e-scooter rider who was involved in a road accident in Kavala on Saturday has died from his injuries.

The road accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Nea Peramos, Kavala, near Ammolofoi, had a tragic outcome, as the 36-year-old rider of the electric scooter also died. The 34-year-old motorcyclist had already lost his life in the same crash.
According to the latest information cited by ERT, the 36-year-old e-scooter rider, who had been seriously injured in the collision, succumbed to his injuries at Kavala General Hospital.
The accident occurred in Nea Peramos, near Ammolofoi. Under circumstances that are still being investigated, the motorcycle collided with the electric scooter.
The 34-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries, while the 36-year-old e-scooter rider, who suffered multiple injuries, was taken by ambulance to Kavala General Hospital. He underwent surgery there, but despite doctors’ efforts, he died in the early hours of the morning.
A preliminary investigation is under way to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the fatal crash.
