The family of the young woman insists that the case of the 19-year-old’s death has not yet been fully clarified and that the involvement of additional individuals cannot be ruled out.

The three remanded defendants accused of involvement in the death of 19-year-old Myrto in Kefalonia will be transferred to Korydallos Prison tomorrow, Monday (20/4).

According to ERT, authorities are examining digital evidence and new testimonies for additional individuals who may be involved, focusing in particular on the statement of a 66-year-old man who, on the night of the incident, not only communicated with Myrto but also sent her money.

At the same time, the young woman’s family insists that the case has not yet been fully clarified and that other individuals may also be implicated.

The lawyer representing the 19-year-old’s family, Panagis Drakoulogkonas, expressed confidence that the main investigation will bring new developments to light. He noted that in the coming days or weeks, evidence may emerge leading to the involvement of additional individuals, reinforcing the family’s belief that the circle of those responsible has not yet been closed.

Investigations into digital data

Meanwhile, authorities are intensifying their investigation, placing particular emphasis on digital data. Mobile phones, communications, and security camera footage are under scrutiny, with the aim of mapping both the movements of the 19-year-old before the incident and those of the alleged perpetrators afterward.

The trafficking route of narcotic substances is also under investigation, along with the possible involvement of individuals who have not yet been identified.

The spokesperson for the Hellenic Police, Konstantia Dimoglidou, stressed that investigations are being expanded to include every possible element that could shed light on the case. She noted that every location the young woman visited, as well as the routes taken by the suspects, are being examined to determine whether criminal liability may also extend to other parties.

Witness testimonies are also expected to play a decisive role in the development of the case. Friends, relatives, and individuals who had contact with Myrto in recent times are being called upon to answer key questions.

According to the testimony of a 23-year-old man, on the night of the incident the 19-year-old was already out of her home with another man before they later met. Similarly, a friend stated that Myrto had called her and said she was going out with a friend with whom she had been in a relationship for the past ten days.

Particular interest also surrounds the testimony of the 66-year-old man, who is said to have communicated with her via messages that same night and sent her a sum of money—an element now being examined for its significance and possible connection to the case.
