Emergency services mobilised after a man fell onto the Metro tracks at Agios Antonios station. He was pulled out unconscious.

The Fire Service was alerted on Wednesday morning (12/8) after a man fell onto the tracks of Athens Metro Line 2, specifically at Agios Antonios station.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and pulled the man out unconscious.
The fall, after which he was struck by the train, occurred under circumstances that remain unclear.
Service disruptions
It should be noted that Metro services on Line 2 have been temporarily disrupted. More specifically, trains on Line 2 are currently operating only between Sepolia and Elliniko.
The ANTHOUPOLI, PERISTERI and AGIOS ANTONIOS stations are temporarily closed.
