A bloody incident occurred in Menidi in the early hours of Sunday, when unidentified individuals opened fire on a car, injuring a 26-year-old man. The young man was taken to KAT hospital, where he is undergoing surgery.

Police were alerted in the early hours of Sunday (Oct. 4) in Menidi following reports of shots fired at a vehicle, leaving a 26-year-old man injured.
The incident took place shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Vardousion Street, when unidentified individuals fired at a passenger car.
The injured 26-year-old was taken to KAT hospital, where he is undergoing surgery. According to initial information, the assailants fired at least three shots at the vehicle.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found and collected four shell casings, which are being examined as part of the investigation. Authorities are searching for evidence that could lead to the identification of the perpetrators, while also investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting.
As part of the investigation, authorities are also examining, according to preliminary information, whether the armed attack may be linked to an earlier clash between groups of Roma.
That possibility, however, remains under investigation, as the circumstances of the incident and the events leading up to the shooting have not yet been clarified.
The police investigation is ongoing to locate the perpetrators and establish the full circumstances of the case.
