Tragedy in Veria: One dead and two injured in head-on collision between two cars

Two cars collided head-on on the old Alexandria–Katerini national road, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old man.

One person was killed and two others injured in a car accident that occurred at 1:30 a.m. in Imathia, specifically at the 3rd kilometer of the old Alexandria–Katerini national road.
According to police, the two passenger cars collided head-on under circumstances that remain under investigation. The first vehicle was carrying a 69-year-old man, who was driving, and his 65-year-old wife. The second vehicle was carrying a 65-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl.
The 65-year-old driver of the second vehicle was fatally injured in the violent collision. The 65-year-old woman was also injured and was taken to AHEPA University Hospital in Thessaloniki, where she remains hospitalized.
The 15-year-old girl was transported to Veria General Hospital.
The Alexandria Police Department is conducting the preliminary investigation into the exact circumstances and causes of the crash.
