Τα παράδοξα των ολλανδικών εκλογών: Κάλπες σε ανεμόμυλους, εκκλησίες και αιγυπτιακούς ναούς

Οι Ολλανδοί έστησαν κάλπες στα πιο απίθανα μέρη, από σαλόνια σπιτιών και σιδηροδρομικούς σταθμούς μέχρι τον 20ό όροφο ουρανοξύστη

Οι ολλανδικές εκλογές σημείωσαν μια "ιλιγγιώδη' συμμετοχή πολιτών. Οι Ολλανδοί έσπευσαν στις κάλπες  προκειμένου να πάρουν θέση απέναντι στις τρέχουσες πολιτικές εξελίξεις και στη διαφαινόμενη ενίσχυση λαϊκιστικών και ακροδεξιών στοιχείων στην ολλανδική, ευρωπαϊκή και διεθνή πολιτική σκηνή.  

Ίσως όμως στο μεγάλο ποσοστό συμμετοχής να έπαιξε κάποιο ρόλο και η προσβασιμότητα στις κάλπες: Οι Ολλανδοί έστησαν κάλπες στα πιο απίθανα μέρη. Ως αποτέλεσμα οι πολίτες είχαν τη δυνατότητα να ρίξουν την ψήφο τους λίγο πριν πάρουν το τρένο ή όταν περνούσαν κοντά από μια εκκλησία, ακόμη και από το σαλόνι ενός φίλου!
