Μπορεί στην Ελβετία να βλέπουν συχνά "άσπρη μέρα", όμως αιφνιδιάστηκαν από τον πρωτοφανή χιονιά τις μέρες που στην πόλη βρίσκεται η παγκόσμια οικονομική ελίτ

Μπορεί οι εικόνες από το βυθισμένο στο χιόνι Νταβός να είναι εντυπωσιακές, ωστόσο, διοργανωτές και υπεύθυνοι ασφαλείας που εργάζονται για Παγκόσμιο Οικονομικό Φόρουμ, μάλλον δεν ευχαριστήθηκαν και τόσο από τη σφοδρή χιονόπτωση που αρκετές φορές “απείλησε” να βγάλει τη διοργάνωση εκτός προγράμματος. Κάτι που ως γνωστόν, απεχθάνονται οι Ελβετοί…

Είναι η πρώτη φορά στα 48 χρόνια του θεσμού που το Νταβός βρίσκεται αντιμέτωπο με τόσο έντονη κακοκαιρία.

Υπολογίζεται ότι το ύψος του χιονιού έφτασε στα 1,75 μέτρα. Πρόκειται για το υψηλότερο ρεκόρ που έχει καταγραφεί για τον μήνα Ιανουάριο, αλλά και το δεύτερο μεγαλύτερο ανεξαρτήτως μήνα από το… 1931.

Οι μετακινήσεις έγιναν μετ’ εμποδίων, γεγονός που είχε ως αποτέλεσμα πολύωρες καθυστερήσεις. Το φημισμένο σιδηροδρομικό δίκτυο της Ελβετίας αντιμετώπισε σοβαρά προβλήματα, ενώ “επιστρατεύθηκαν” ακόμη και ελικόπτερα ώστε να αντιμετωπιστούν οι πολύωρες καθυστερήσεις, οι υψηλοί καλεσμένοι να μετακινηθούν με ασφάλεια και όλα να λειτουργήσουν… “ρολόι”.

“Θύμα” του χιονιά έπεσε και ο Έλληνας πρωθυπουργός. Ωστόσο ο Αλέξης Τσίπρας και το επιτελείο του δεν πτοήθηκαν, περπατώντας δύο χιλιόμετρα προκειμένου να φτάσουν στην ώρα τους στα ραντεβού τους.
