Answers to three critical questions about Laura are being sought by the German authorities

16-year-old Laura is now in a juvenile facility in Berlin after being found in a random check by the German authorities on Thursday (26/2).

The girl is expected to undergo medical exams, and she will be monitored by a psychiatrist throughout her stay.

The German authorities have informed her father and the police officers from the Achaia juvenile department, who had been involved in the search for her all this time.

It is noted that the girl’s father has been in Germany in recent weeks to provide information to the authorities about his daughter. Furthermore, it is being considered that he may meet with Laura, and if this happens, it will be in the presence of a social worker.

The three critical questions the German authorities need to answer

Meanwhile, the German authorities are now tasked with investigating three crucial points regarding the disappearance and discovery of the minor in Berlin.

Initially, the question remains unanswered as to under what circumstances the 16-year-old was found in Berlin, as the flight that brought her from Athens to Germany was originally headed for Frankfurt.

Furthermore, it is critical to determine where she had been staying all this time and who had helped her during her time in Frankfurt and Berlin. It is noted that, according to testimonies, the girl was spotted in various cities in Germany during the period she was being searched for.

Finally, the most important question remains the reasons that led the 16-year-old to leave her home and family and return to her country of origin alone. Once this is clarified, the German prosecution will decide whether Laura will return to Greece or if some other process will be followed.

The timeline of Laura’s disappearance

Laura’s whereabouts were lost on January 8 in Rio, Achaia. After the signal from her phone was detected on February 9 in Berlin, the German authorities had been very close to tracking the missing minor for the past two weeks.

According to information from police sources, 16-year-old Laura was found at a house following a random check.

As of now, it is not known who was hosting or assisting Laura.

From the very beginning of her disappearance, the police authorities considered the scenario that 16-year-old Laura had left for abroad, probably Germany. A video that surfaced shows the 16-year-old – in the first hours after her disappearance – entering a travel agency in the Omonia area and buying a ticket to Frankfurt, departing on the same day.

It turned out that on the day she left Rio, she arrived by taxi in Athens, specifically in Goudi, near the “Paidi” hospital, where she bought an airline ticket with a German company for Frankfurt, using her passport. It appears she flew to Germany, specifically Hamburg, where she lived with her parents before coming to Greece.
