Unknown individuals looted and vandalized the complex housing the 5th Middle and High School of Glyfada.
The perpetrators caused extensive damage inside the school, stealing computers and €8,000 which, according to ERT, had been collected for a school trip.
Taking advantage of the fact that the school was closed for the Easter holidays, the offenders forced open the main entrance, entered the building and began vandalizing it.
Specifically, they discharged 20 fire extinguishers, threw paint on walls and offices, and smashed windows and doors, leaving behind a “bombed-out” scene. The burglars managed to break into the principal’s office, from where they took thousands of euros in cash.
They also stole six computers from the teachers’ office. Authorities have been informed of the incident and investigations to identify the perpetrators are ongoing.
