A 7-month-old baby tragically lost its life in Crete yesterday after being affected by a respiratory infection, with doctors unable to save it.
According to Flashnews, the baby was in Chania with its family on vacation when it fell ill. The Dutch parents took the baby to Chania Hospital, where doctors diagnosed it with a respiratory infection (bronchitis).
From there, it was deemed necessary to transfer the baby to Venizelio Hospital, as the baby had congenital health problems and a complicated medical history. The 7-month-old baby was transferred to Heraklion, where the doctors made significant efforts to save its life. Unfortunately, they were not successful, and the baby passed away at the hospital.
