Akylas shared his excitement and emotions following Greece’s qualification for the grand final of Eurovision 2026, immediately after the completion of the first semi-final, speaking to ERT’s camera.

Regarding his experience on stage, Akylas described it as “magical,” commenting that he was thrilled by the audience’s reaction at the stadium in Vienna, where this year’s music competition is being held.
“I initially experienced this moment. I really believed that we would qualify, but it’s unbelievable, it’s so magical to be on this stage. There were so many people down there, screaming, I saw people wearing hats. It was crazy. I am really happy. Let’s go on Saturday and show them how it’s done, my babies. Let’s go!” he said to ERT1 right after qualifying for the final of the competition with his song “Ferto.”
