The Independent Authority for the Protection and Control of the Market has imposed fines on FAGE and DO VALUE Greece.

In its ongoing efforts to tackle unfair profit practices and consumer law violations, the Independent Authority continues its inspections across the market, imposing administrative penalties.
Specifically, after carrying out inspections, a fine of €1,757,503 was imposed on FAGE Greece and €200,000 on DO VALUE Greece.
Fine of €1,757,503 on FAGE Greece
More specifically, following inspections to combat unfair profitability, an administrative fine of €1,757,503 was imposed on FAGE Greece Dairy Industry S.A. (category: yogurt/cheese), for exceeding the allowable gross profit margin on 21 product codes out of 22 inspected. The detected overrun concerns the period from 13/03/2026 to 03/04/2026 and consists of exceeding the allowable profit margin, violating the applicable legislation.
Fine of €200,000 on DO VALUE Greece
Meanwhile, the Authority imposed an administrative fine of €200,000 on DO VALUE Greece S.A., due to repeated harassment of a debtor for overdue debts without the required prior confirmation of the debt.
