Weather: Mostly clear across the country – Where rain is expected

Unsettled weather continues today, Wednesday (9/9), with local rain and thunderstorms expected in western parts of the country.

Temperatures will remain stable, while a slight rise is expected from Thursday (10/9).

Weather on Wednesday 09/09

The weather will be generally clear across most of the country. Temporary cloud cover will develop over the mainland in the afternoon, mainly in western areas, where local showers are expected, while thunderstorms will also occur mainly in Epirus.

Visibility will be locally limited in western areas during the morning hours.

Temperatures will show no significant change and will reach 30 to 33 degrees Celsius across most of the country.

Winds in the Aegean will be strong, locally reaching 6 to 7 Beaufort in the morning, before gradually weakening later in the day.

• Western Peloponnese: 20 – 33°C
• Eastern Peloponnese: 20 – 33°C
• Cyclades: 23 – 29°C
• Eastern Central Greece – Evia: 18 – 33°C
• Crete: 21 – 30°C
• Eastern Aegean Islands: 21 – 31°C
• Dodecanese: 22 – 32°C
• Attica: 22 – 33°C
• Thessaloniki: 19 – 30°C

Weather on Thursday 10/09

The weather will remain generally clear across most of the country. Temporary clouds will develop over the mainland in the afternoon, mainly in western areas, where local showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly over mountainous regions. Visibility will be locally limited in western areas during the morning hours.

Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius locally on the mainland.

In the Aegean, winds will locally reach 5 to 6 Beaufort, with a tendency to weaken during the day.

Weather on Friday 11/09

Generally clear weather is forecast. Temporary clouds will develop over western mainland areas in the afternoon, mainly over mountainous regions, while there is a chance of local showers in the north.

Visibility will be locally limited in western areas during the morning hours, while temperatures will show no significant change.

Winds will generally blow at 3 to 5 Beaufort, locally reaching 5 to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Weather on Saturday 12/09

The weather will be generally clear. Temporary cloud cover will develop over the mainland in the afternoon, with a chance of local showers in the northwest.

Visibility will be locally limited in western areas during the morning hours, while temperatures will show no significant change.

In the Ionian, winds will mainly range from 3 to 4 Beaufort, while in the Aegean they will locally reach 4 to 6 Beaufort.
