Fire breaks out in apartment building parking area in Galatsi – Two residents taken to hospital

A fire broke out in the early hours of Tuesday at the ground-floor parking area of an apartment building in Galatsi. Two people were taken to hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties.

The fire erupted in the early hours of Tuesday (15/09) in the ground-floor parking area of an apartment building on Iras Street in Galatsi.
Three fire engines with nine firefighters immediately rushed to the scene and carried out firefighting operations.
According to ERT, one car was engulfed in flames, while the fire spread to a second vehicle and a motorcycle parked in the building’s ground-floor parking area.
EKAB ambulances picked up two residents of the apartment building and took them to hospital as a precaution after they experienced breathing difficulties.
The fire has been brought under control.
