An alarm was raised at the Fire Service over a fire that broke out in a forested area in the Agios Vasileios, Boiotia region. A 112 emergency alert was issued.

A fire broke out on Saturday morning (27/6) in a forested area in the Agios Vasileios, Boiotia region.
According to the Fire Service, 51 firefighters were mobilized, including 2 ground teams from the 4th EMODE special forest firefighting unit, 17 fire engines, 2 aircraft, and 2 helicopters.
Water tanker trucks from local municipalities are also assisting in the firefighting effort.
An emergency 112 message was sent to residents of the area, stating:
“112 Activation
Forest fire in the area of Agios Vasileios, Thebes, in the Regional Unit of Boeotia
Remain alert and follow the instructions of the authorities.”
