Incidents of violence between drivers on the streets of Athens are increasing, as new episodes emerge daily in the media.
Just a few days after the attack by a 59-year-old driver on a 22-year-old in Pangrati, a new incident occurred in the Galatsi area between two men.
Specifically, on Monday afternoon (April 27), two men got into a physical altercation again over a parking space, with one of them ending up in the hospital.
The incident took place around 13:30 in the afternoon, on Pythias 2 Street, when two men, aged 45 and 55, began arguing over who would park in the vacant parking space. The argument escalated, and they started fighting.
Police forces arrived at the scene and arrested both drivers.
The 45-year-old was injured during the altercation and was taken to the “Gennimatas” hospital for treatment. It is also noted that a knife and a brass knuckle were found in the possession of the second driver.
A case file for bodily harm and insult was filed against both drivers, and an additional case was filed against the 55-year-old for possession of weapons.
It is worth remembering that on Saturday afternoon (April 25), on Aristoxenus Street in Pangrati, a 22-year-old female driver was attacked by a 59-year-old motorcyclist.
The 59-year-old believed that the young driver was obstructing him while parking her car. After initially verbally attacking her, he then punched and pushed her, forcefully throwing her to the ground, resulting in a broken leg.
After the act, he fled the scene but was identified and is being sought by the authorities.
