Liosion: Three arrests over hit-and-run of 16-year-old – Teen in critical condition

Three arrests have been made in connection with the hit-and-run of a 16-year-old girl on Liosion Street, while the motorcycle driver remains at large.

The teenager is currently intubated and in critical condition at KAT Hospital after being struck and abandoned by a motorcycle driver on Saturday afternoon (April 18).
According to ERT, authorities have proceeded with three arrests related to the incident.
Those arrested include the motorcycle’s passenger, who turned himself in voluntarily, as well as a woman believed to be the owner of the vehicle. A third individual, who also surrendered to the police, faces charges of aiding a criminal. In contrast, the driver of the motorcycle is still being sought.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the accident occurred shortly before 18:00 on Liosion Street, in the direction towards central Athens, when a motorcycle carrying two, struck the minor as she attempted to cross the road.
Following the collision, both the driver and the passenger fell onto the roadway but didn’t assist the injured girl. Instead, they got back on the motorcycle and fled the scene.
