A three-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being hit by a car in Menidi, while authorities are searching for her parents.

The three-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle in Menidi on Tuesday evening (June 3) remains in extremely critical condition at the “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital.
The serious accident occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of 40 Martyrs Street and Melina Street in Acharnes (Menidi), when a car exiting a garage struck the child.
According to information reported by ERT, the girl was standing directly behind the vehicle as the driver was maneuvering out of the garage. As a result, the driver failed to see her and accidentally ran her over.
The impact left the child with very severe injuries. An EKAB ambulance rushed to the scene and initially transported her to Thriasio General Hospital before she was transferred to Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital.
Doctors are battling to treat her injuries, and her condition is described as critical.
Authorities are currently searching for the child’s parents on charges of endangering a minor, as they have not come forward or sought information about her following the incident.
