- 06 Μαΐου 2026 11:40
The country is entering full spring weather mode, with temperatures steadily rising and African dust returning, primarily affecting southern and central Greece.
According to meteorologist Klearchos Marousakis, the coming days will be marked by high temperatures, and in many areas, the mercury has already surpassed 25°C, reaching close to 30°C in some places.
The weather change will become more noticeable starting on Friday, when a new episode of African dust transport is expected. This phenomenon will be accompanied by localized mud rains, reducing visibility and creating a hazy atmosphere, mainly in the southern and central parts of the country. The episode is expected to gradually subside on Saturday.
From Saturday onwards, the weather will improve further, as the dust will dissipate and clouds will decrease, allowing the temperature to rise even more.
The warmest phase of the period is expected on Sunday, when temperatures will reach 30°C in many areas of the country, creating an early summer-like atmosphere.
