The 22-year-old woman who ended up in the hospital with a broken leg after an attack by a 59-year-old motorcyclist in Pangrati on Saturday afternoon, describes the ordeal.

The young driver of the car shared her experience on Mega TV, recounting the attack by the 59-year-old motorcyclist over a parking space, in Pangrati, on Saturday, April 25.

“My friend lives in Pangrati and told me she found a spot almost right under her house, about fifty meters away. I was about one hundred meters away, not even one hundred meters. I go up, and at that moment, he comes down from the building, and as I’m parking, I end up blocking his motorcycle temporarily, because I want to park,” she explained.

Things escalated quickly when the motorcyclist started insulting her, demanding to leave so he could park his motorcycle.

“He turns around and says ‘get up, move,’ and ‘what are you doing.’ And within a minute, something snapped in him. He starts yelling the most vulgar insults, about my mother, swearing… Anything you can imagine, terribly obscene. And I, because I’m a bit tough, I’m not generally afraid of such things. Maybe I should start fearing it,” she continued.

According to the report, the driver got out of her car, but things escalated further as the motorcyclist attacked her.

“I get out of the car… Before I even manage to close the door, I see him putting on his helmet. He grabs me by the collar… He punches me in the face. He throws me violently onto the car. I fall, and my leg gets crushed… The force with which he threw me twisted it completely. I fell and then he started kicking me. He kept hitting me.”

“Because it was midday, around 3:20 PM, I never thought that I would get out of the car with so many people around and that someone would do this… It’s crazy.”

“At that moment, when I got up, a man appeared in front of me, thank God he stepped in, a very tall and strong man. He positioned himself in front of me to stop him… As soon as he saw people coming down, about ten to twelve people, a lot of people, from the buildings surrounding us, he looked around, took off his helmet, held it in his hands, and ran into the building,” she recalled.

It was noted that the motorcyclist fled the scene immediately after the attack, but he was later identified.

The suspect reportedly hid for the next 24 hours, as despite the police’s search, they were unable to locate him for his arrest under the flagrante delicto.

The 22-year-old was taken to “Evangelismos” Hospital, as she had suffered facial injuries and a broken leg.

A criminal case was filed against the 59-year-old by the Pangrati Police Department for bodily harm and verbal abuse.
