A second call for gunshots on Loukareos Street was received by the police, allegedly from the 89-year-old man, who had previously opened fire at the EFKA in Kerameikos.
Specifically, according to initial information, the elderly man, after fleeing from the EFKA where he injured one person with a shotgun, went to the Court of Appeals on Loukareos Street, where he opened fire again, fortunately injuring four more people lightly.
The 89-year-old man escaped again, with the police launching a manhunt to locate and capture him before he could cause any more harm.
The search for the perpetrator, who has been identified, is in full swing, and near the Court of Appeals building, the shotgun was found and seized, as it appears the 89-year-old threw it away when he fled.
According to information from NEWS 24/7, the total number of injured is five: four from Loukareos and one from EFKA. Three ambulances and two motorcycles from the EKAB responded to the scene, and all are conscious and being transferred to the ‘Red Cross’ hospital.
Earlier, the man is reported to have entered the building armed and shot an employee in the leg, injuring him.
The police officers who arrived at the scene used a tourniquet to limit the bleeding, providing first aid to the victim until the ambulance arrived. Later, the 63-year-old man who was shot was transferred to the ‘Red Cross’ Hospital in good condition.
Immediately after the act, the perpetrator fled, and a manhunt has been launched by the police to locate him.
Panic ensued at the scene right after the attack, and a team from the Security Service rushed to take statements and determine the reasons that led the perpetrator to commit this act.
