Traffic regulations on Kifisos Avenue – Which sections will be closed starting Monday

Starting the evening of January 26, traffic regulations will come into effect on Kifisos Avenue due to ongoing construction work. Which sections of the road will be closed.

Traffic regulations due to construction work will be implemented on Kifisos Avenue from January 26 to January 29.
The interventions concern sections in the municipalities of Piraeus, Moschato-Tavros, Nikaia-Agios Ioannis Rentis, Athens, Aigaleo, Peristeri, Agioi Anargyroi, Ilion, Metamorfosi, and Nea Filadelfeia–Nea Chalkidona.
Specifically, as announced by the Hellenic Police (ELAS), there will be temporary traffic closures on the following sections of Kifisos Avenue, alternating between the right and left lanes in both directions, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning, as follows:

On 26-1-2026, from the coastal Poseidonos Avenue to Dyrrachiou Street, traffic direction toward Lamia.

On 27-1-2026, from Dyrrachiou Street to the Attiki Odos, traffic direction toward Lamia.

On 28-1-2026, from Attiki Odos to Dyrrachiou Street, traffic direction toward Piraeus.

On 29-1-2026, from Dyrrachiou Street to the coastal Poseidonos Avenue, traffic direction toward Piraeus.
During the works, traffic will be carried through the remaining available lanes of each section.
The Traffic Police urges drivers to be especially careful when passing through the work zones and to follow the existing road signs.
