An unspeakable tragedy occurred in Aegina, with a 21-month-old child choking on tsoureki (a type of Greek sweet bread) and losing their life.

The local community of Aegina is submerged in grief after the death of a child just 21 months old, who choked while eating tsoureki.
According to available information, the child’s parents initially took them to the local health center, but it was deemed necessary to transfer the child.
Shortly after 8:00 PM, an alert was raised for the child’s transfer, which was carried out by a coast guard ambulance boat. The child was transported to the Tzaneio Hospital, where their death was confirmed.
