The three-year-old boy was critically injured after falling from a wall and was rushed to the “Karamandaneio” Children’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Tragic scenes unfolded at the Karamandaneio Children’s Hospital in Patras when doctors informed the parents of a three-year-old boy from Spata, western Achaia, that their child could not be saved after a serious accident.

The boy had fallen on Tuesday afternoon (November 11) from a two-meter-high wall in the area of Agios Nikolaos, Spata, while he was with his 25-year-old uncle.

According to local outlet Tempo24, the child sustained severe injuries during the fall and was transferred to Karamandaneio Hospital in critical condition. Doctors immediately intubated him and performed CPR for 40 minutes. Despite their efforts, the boy went into cardiac arrest and passed away. Police are investigating the circumstances of the tragic incident.

Authorities have arrested the 25-year-old man, who faces charges of negligent homicide.

According to reports, the uncle was holding the child in his arms when both fell from the wall, causing the boy’s fatal injuries.

The 25-year-old is hospitalized under police guard at “Agios Andreas” Hospital with minor injuries. At the time of the accident, the child’s family was working in a nearby field and had left the boy in the uncle’s care.
