Crete: Raid on party involving “pink cocaine” at luxury hotel – Four arrests

Police in Elounda, Crete, arrested four people following an operation at a luxury hotel where a party was under way.

During searches, officers found quantities of cocaine, including so-called “pink cocaine”, as well as pills whose chemical composition has yet to be determined.

According to information from Cretalive, the party had begun early on Sunday morning, while officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Agios Nikolaos Subdirectorate for Crime Prevention and Investigation had received information about possible drug trafficking at the hotel.

A police operation followed, with searches carried out in four hotel rooms. In total, around 40 grams of substances described as white and pink cocaine were seized, along with pills that have been sent for laboratory analysis.

A 32-year-old Israeli man is reportedly considered the main suspect in the drug trafficking case, as the largest quantity was found in his possession. Police also arrested two other Israeli nationals, a man and a woman.

Police statement:

“Four foreign nationals, aged 28, 32, 33 and a 41-year-old woman, were arrested yesterday (25 October 2026) in an area of the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos by officers of the Agios Nikolaos Subdirectorate for Crime Prevention and Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Unit, on charges of violating drug laws.

More specifically, following the appropriate assessment of information by officers of the above services, and in connection with an incident that took place yesterday (25 October 2026) at a hotel in the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, police went to the scene, located the four foreign nationals and subsequently searched the rooms where they were staying.

The following were found and seized:

11.5 grams of pink cocaine
27.6 grams of cocaine
14 tablets of various pharmaceutical products without the required medical prescription
In addition, charges were brought against the 28-year-old and the 32-year-old for violence against public officials, as during the police check they attacked the officers without causing any injuries.

The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Agios Nikolaos Subdirectorate for Crime Prevention and Investigation.”
