A 27-year-old man is being treated at Papageorgiou Hospital after being injured by a 26-year-old in the area of Giannitsa.
According to information, the incident began shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday (30/08), when the two young men initially had a verbal altercation inside a local venue.
They later encountered each other again at another location in the town, according to thestival.gr. During their second encounter, the 27-year-old was accompanied by a female friend, while the 26-year-old was with a male friend.
There, the 26-year-old punched the 27-year-old following another verbal altercation between them, causing the 27-year-old to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.
He was subsequently taken to Papageorgiou Hospital in Thessaloniki, where he is being treated in serious condition.
The 26-year-old was arrested by police officers, and a case file is being prepared against him in connection with the incident.
