Which Metro stations will close earlier starting today

Temporary traffic arrangements will be in place during the night-time hours starting today, Monday, September 7, on the “Eleonas – Monastiraki” section, due to works being carried out as part of the rail replacement project on Line 3 of the Athens Metro.

More specifically, from today, Monday 07/09, through Thursday 10/09, the “Eleonas”, “Kerameikos” and “Monastiraki” stations will close at 21:40, 2.5 hours earlier than the scheduled end of service.

During the works, train services on Line 3 will operate between the “Dimotiko Theatro – Egaleo” and “Syntagma – Doukissis Plakentias – Airport” sections.

The last trains before the stations close will depart:

• from DIMOTIKO THEATRO towards D. PLAKENTIAS at 21:06,
• from EGALEO towards D. PLAKENTIAS at 21:20,
• from ELEONAS towards D. PLAKENTIAS at 21:22,
• from KERAMEIKOS towards D. PLAKENTIAS at 21:25,
• from MONASTIRAKI towards D. PLAKENTIAS at 21:27,
• from D. PLAKENTIAS towards DIMOTIKO THEATRO at 21:30,
• from SYNTAGMA towards DIMOTIKO THEATRO at 21:49,
• from MONASTIRAKI towards DIMOTIKO THEATRO at 21:51,
• from KERAMEIKOS towards DIMOTIKO THEATRO at 21:53,
• from ELEONAS towards DIMOTIKO THEATRO at 21:56.

SERVICES TO/FROM THE AIRPORT:

Last trains:

• from Dimotiko Theatro towards the Airport at 21:06, and
• from the Airport towards Dimotiko Theatro at 21:10.

After the technical works begin at 21:40, trains heading towards the Airport will depart from Syntagma station, while trains departing from the Airport will terminate at Syntagma station. In detail:

– Departures from Syntagma towards the Airport at 22:02, 22:38 and 23:14, and from the Airport towards Syntagma at 21:46, 22:22, 22:58 and 23:34.

To serve passengers, OASA will operate, from Sunday through Thursday, from 21:40 until the end of Metro service, the temporary bus line X24 “Syntagma Metro Station – Egaleo Metro Station”, which will stop at all closed stations and connect Egaleo station with Syntagma station. The line will make the following stops:

– In the direction Syntagma Metro Station – Egaleo Metro Station:

“SYNTAGMA STATION” (existing stop on Vasilissis Amalias Avenue named SYNTAGMA), “OMONIA STATION” (existing stop on Panepistimiou Street named OMONIA), “MONASTIRAKI STATION TOWARDS EGALEO” (existing stop on Ermou Street), “KERAMEIKOS STATION” (existing stop on Iera Odos named SIDERA), “ELEONAS STATION” (existing stop on Iera Odos named AMAXOSTASIO DIMOU), “EGALEO STATION – DISEMBARKATION” (existing stop on Iera Odos named ESTAVROMENOS).

– In the direction Egaleo Metro Station – Syntagma Metro Station:
